We ‘re delighted that you have taken the time to check into Word of Life Chapel. Our church consists of a body of followers of Jesus Christ who are committed to building up one another in our faith so that we might be empowered to reach our community and beyond with the love of Jesus and the message of the gospel.
. . . because God welcomed us in Christ while we were still far off from Him. (Eph. 2:13, Gal. 5:22-23, Heb. 13:2, Jam. 2:1-8, Rom. 16:3-16, 1 Cor. 16:19-20)
. . . because God’s Word is our ultimate authority and also the very breath of God. (2 Tim. 2:15, 3:16-17, 4:1-2)
. . . because the whole Bible is about Christ and so is our life. He is the true Hero, Savior and King of the Bible meant to indwell us and lives through us. (Luke 24:27, Col. 1:25-27, Gal. 2:20, Phil. 3:8-9, 1 John 4:9)
. . . because children are extra special to Jesus and families reflect the image of God. (Matt. 19:14, Deut. 6:4-9, Eph. 5:22-6:4)
. . . because God has sent us on a mission to show the Gospel in word & work through the continued work of the Spirit through the Body of Christ, His Church. (Acts 1:8, Matt. 5:13-16, 28:19-20, Luke 10:2, John 14:12, Eph. 3:20-21, 2 Thess. 2:16-17)
We believe that Jesus cared deeply for children and it is our desire to do the same! Our hope is that kids would encounter the love, goodness and truth of God here at the Chapel. As we meet with kids weekly, our prayer is that kids would grow in their understanding of who God is, develop a love for His word and want to follow Him closely in their daily lives. We also believe that the family is crucial in developing spiritual resilience in our kids, so we aim to equip parents and caregivers with resources that can help them with this goal in mind.
We believe that the discipleship of our young people is crucial and it is our aim to help them learn about God and His word, so that they may follow Jesus with passion and excitement in the world they live in. Our desire is that they grow to love Jesus and follow Him with their whole beings, sharing with their friends and peers the good news of the gospel. The hope is that they would become and remain lifelong disciples of Christ as they journey through adolescence and adulthood.
God has given his church a variety of gifts to serve and equip the body of Christ. Our adult teaching ministry is an excellent way to grow together with other believers as we open God’s Word, seek to understand its message, and live it out daily in our lives. Gathering for vibrant worship and Bible teaching each week, we also have the opportunity to fellowship together by serving one another. Our adult ministries are actively involved in caring for one another in our church family and beyond: through prayer, through visiting and through serving with hands and feet the needs of those around us.
