We love to gather together as we strive to follow Jesus in this community He has placed us in.  By meeting together, we learn, encourage, challenge and help one another to walk with Jesus intentionally.

Connect

Gather for fun – food – fellowship – prizes

CONNECT is a youth program for young people in Grades 5 – 12 in Conoy Township. Each Thursday evening (1st  & 3rd) features activities, prizes, refreshments and a devotional time. Connect offers opportunities for the youth of our community to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and to grow in a relationship with Him and each other. Connect youth outreach was started September 7, 2004.

Meetings are held at Bainbridge Elementary School Gym whenever available.  Alternative meeting place : Word of Life Chapel.

Youth must stay and participate from 6:00 thru 7:30 pm unless picked up early by their parents.

First-time participants are encouraged to have parents accompany them to registration.

Phones should be for emergency use only.

COFFEE FELLOWSHIP! 8:45 – 9:15 AM. –If you would be interested in providing light refreshments–SIGN UP SHEET POSTED IN THE BACK!

1. Ladies Class – This class will be led by a different speaker each Sunday with a study on various topics! Meeting in the Library..

2. Study in 2 Samuel – continues the historical account of David, king of Israel- his rise to power, his successes and failures. But more importantly it tells us of God’s steadfast love for his people. Our promise making, promise keeping God is continuing his work today and will see it through until the very end. Led by Dain Kulp in the MPR.

3. The Strange Stories of the Bible Have you ever wondered, “why is this in here and what on earth does it mean?” In this class we will explore the misunderstood or not understood at all parts of the Bible and seek to draw out its true meaning and purpose. Meeting in the basement – led by Pastor Aaron/Dave Miller

Monday, August 11 Grief Support Group meeting(second Monday of each month through December) at the Community House, Conoy Twp. 6- 8 pm. for a light supper, devotions & discussion.

Tuesday, August 12 SEASONED CITIZENS SUMMER PICNIC – 5 pm. at the Chapel. Menu/Sign up is posted in the back! We will be having dinner and a Hymn Sing! Join the fun!

Sunday, August 24 SPECIAL SERVICE! We will be having one service at the Chapel at 10 am. This will be held outside with Worship music, a message from Pastor Aaron and a Baptism Service followed by a Church Family Picnic. Each family is asked to bring either a cold side dish/salad or dessert. Hot dogs, burgers, hot sides and drink will be provided. We ask that you bring dogs, burgers, hot sides and drink will be provided. We ask that you bring your own lawn chairs/and canopies(please be there by 9:30 am to set up and be ready for our service at 10 am.) We also ask that if possible you please bring cold dishes in your ice chest to keep chilled until the service is over and lunch begins! PLEASE SIGN UP ON THE BULLETIN BOARD IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND!

75th Anniversary Celebration We will be celebrating 75 Years of God’s Faithfulness at the Chapel on Sunday, August 23, 2026! Please mark your calendar for this special upcoming event! *If you would have any old pictures of folks from the Chapel or of the church building (either hard copy or digital) please give to Marcia Heigel.

Saturday & Sunday, September 20 & 21 in Bainbridge – WOLC will be providing games again this year for the Children’s tent at SOFFD! Please sign up to volunteer on the bulletin board in the back! *WE ARE ALSO IN NEED OF CANDY(Individually wrapped/small packs) TO BE USED FOR PRIZES at SOFFD Items should be placed in the box at the Welcome Center!

Bible Study for Young Adults(HS Grads – 30 yrs.) –Thursday Nights (May 22- August 14) at 6:30 pm. Meeting at the Hershey’s Farm (2024 Donegal Springs Road) for Bible study, worship, games etc. Being led by Calvary Bible Church.

BAPTISM being planned for August – please see Pastor Aaron if you are interested in taking this next step in following Christ. We are planning an outside Baptism for Sunday, August 24th!

Opportunity to Serve – Help needed at Camp Nathanael this fall for their Outdoor Educational experience. From set up, to teachers and line leaders, there is something for everyone! More information and applications available at the Welcome Desk.

Dan & Sharon Rabe, Praising the Lord for a new son-in-law, for baby Joy turning 1 year old, and that Sharon will have her final immunotherapy infusion Monday. They just returned from Dakar, Senegal after participating in leadership meetings and the team’s field conference. Dan’s next trip will be toward the end of August – traveling to Brazil to attend their Latin America Regional Leadership Forum and hold meetings. Pray for the Rabes – for wisdom as they serve global partnerships in 30+ countries around the world.
